AstraZeneca's programme spanned multiple deployment waves, each requiring its own UAT cycle, business community, and readiness checkpoint.
Nearly 2,600 test scripts were needed across regions and functions. Business testers had to be identified, onboarded, and coordinated across multiple time zones. Testing environments and data had to be ready on time in a landscape where delays compound fast.
The internal teams had the process knowledge, but what they didn't have was the capacity, the structure, or the specialist leadership to execute UAT at this scale.
Resulting Solution
Resulting was brought in to provide end-to-end UAT leadership from strategy through to execution and closure. This was hands-on, embedded delivery, accountable for outcomes alongside the client.
Before a single test was run, Resulting defined a UAT strategy tailored to AstraZeneca's regulatory context and multi-wave programme structure. Entry and exit criteria, roles and responsibilities, and governance frameworks were established upfront. Requirements traceability matrices maintained a live, auditable link between requirements, test coverage, and outcomes throughout.
To handle test preparation at volume without sacrificing quality, Resulting established a dedicated UAT Script Factory. Over 2,500 scripts were created, validated, and made run-ready, covering end-to-end business processes, regional variants, and role-based scenarios. Every script was simulated in the test environment before execution began.
Resulting then led day-to-day execution across all active waves, coordinating business testers, functional teams, and technical teams. Defect triage, prioritization, and resolution were handled with discipline. As well as this, defect trends were reported transparently, giving leadership the visibility to act before issues threatened stage-gate progression.
