Established in 1849 by the Boots family, Boots is the UK’s No. 1 health and beauty retailer.
CHALLENGES
When Boots the Chemist implemented SAP, they realised early on that the expected benefits would be closely linked with adoption and an ability to drive real business process change. Their SAP Customer Competency Centre would be central to this. With SAP functionality spanning Real Estate, Treasury, Procurement and Retail - right down to POS level, the stakes were high. Boots wanted to build a business led, process aligned SAP Centre of Excellence - but had also recently outsourced their entire IT delivery capability to IBM and Xansa (now Steria).
The Resulting team worked together for the first time at Boots, each representing the 3 parties involved in the SAP CoE - and were responsible for the first ever SAP Certification of an Outsourced SAP Customer Competency Centre.
