Challenge
The University of Warwick needed to migrate from SAP ECC to S/4HANA while maintaining existing business processes, improving customer experience and building internal capability - all within a largely self-delivered programme.
Results
Resulting supported Warwick with business-led project management, readiness planning, and flexible SME input, enabling a smoother S/4HANA migration and helping them retain long-term SAP capability in-house.
Key Product
Plan, Deliver
We used Resulting’s Project Management support to combine Waterfall and Agile approaches to deliver our end-to-end Brownfield S/4HANA Migration - this allowed the team to focus at a granular level on what tasks needed to be achieved during a particular sprint, whilst keeping an eye over the fence of what was next to come.

About the University of Warwick
The University of Warwick is a world-leading university with the highest academic and research standards.
Their campus in Coventry welcomes over 26,500 students from over 150 countries. They have a constant presence in the rankings of the UK's and the world’s greatest universities, and the 2014 Research Excellence Framework placed them 7th among UK research universities.
The Challenge
Their challenge is to migrate their existing SAP ECC solution to S/4HANA, whilst improving their customer experience and ensuring all current business processes work in the new system. It is a technical migration which will incorporate some business improvements while creating a stable S/4HANA to meet their business requirements going forward.
Resulting Solution
After an initial exercise to build a business process master list and highlight preparation activities to achieve a smoother transition to S/4HANA, Resulting are now providing business-side project management support and assurance together with additional subject matter experts as required by the university.
Benefits Delivered
The University of Warwick has access to the experts they need to support them while they deliver the migration inhouse, whilst retaining the majority of S/4HANA skills they need going forwards internally.
