About Wizz Air

Wizz Air is a multinational ultra low-cost carrier with its head office in Budapest, Hungary. The airline serves many cities across Europe, as well as some destinations in North Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia flying to 194 airports across 54 countries.

The Challenge

Wizz Air is on a rapid growth trajectory that is outpacing the capabilities of its existing business applications. The airline needed to define a future architecture that would replace elements of the current estate, including Microsoft Dynamics as the core ERP, while retaining the flexibility to deliver competitive advantage.

While SAP was considered a strong potential option, given its use across the airline industry and its Aerospace and Defence solution. Wizz Air wanted a clearer understanding of how to shape its overall IT architecture to optimise processes, systems and data in line with its growth ambitions.

Resulting Solution

Although Wizz Air already had a view on its core ERP direction and solution portfolio, Resulting recommended capturing and analysing core business processes and associated applications to identify opportunities for simplification, rationalisation and improved alignment.

Resulting applied its standard roadmapping approach, underpinned by FusionGraph, including executive interviews, strategy review, process framework definition, application analysis, signature requirements, technology planning, transformation narrative development, business case creation and a partner briefing document.

Benefits Delivered

Resulting provided clarity on Wizz Air’s future technology roadmap, including ERP solution options and the sequencing and alignment of key initiatives within a composable architecture. This created a clear foundation for informed decision-making and structured growth.

Resulting has an ongoing relationship with Wizz Air, re-engaging to facilitate a strategic alignment workshop in Budapest with the Chief Digital Officer and Business Transformation Lead to confirm direction and next priorities.
